Against Bully by SnaiLords Against Bully by SnaiLords
Disclaimer: I am no professional. Follow advice at your own risk.
By: An ex-victim of bullying.

Of course, first step and utmost important if you are being bullied. NOTIFY an authoritative figure. Principle, counselors, a teacher.
Mostly because if anything shall happen in the future, like a lawsuit. You have evidence against the bullies.

However, I found out that unless you stand up for yourself, the problem will not go away.

No one really bullies me though, I don't talk to people putisde my classroom much, but I'm not bothered by anyone, the last time someone did they we're crying from my verbal abuse. O-0 he punched my friend pretty hard that time....
Yeah, never did that again, the only person that ever tries to bother me is my childhood friend, we had to make a truce to not report each other just so that the two of us won't get suspended since we have this mutual bully-friend relationship since childhood and ended up having a crush  at each other for a month, and at the same time too o-0 we have good grades either way, and the only person that has made me cry in the school is him, not because I was hurt, but because I was supper pissed at him.

Eh, I couldn't give two craps about good grades, even though I usually get good grades.

And gym will never accept me.

These are also a great way to avoid being attacked in the streets, never knew they were good for bullying, than again, I never really experienced or witnessed it, guess my schools were mostly nice :D The closest I ever got was this one girl trying to turn everyone against me by spreading the rumor that I said the sacrifices of 9/11 were worthless. But that actually turned everyone against her since I was well known for being exceeding blunt and people were reluctant to believe ill of me so they just asked me and the truth spread. Than no one trusted her much anymore expect for a few here and there. It was an amusing experience none the less.

Faking your confidence really works, people stopped bullying me because of that. (Maybe my irritated look worked too…) Too bad they instead started..talking.. to me… and sitting beside me… randomly…nicely… *hides in corner* My poor introvert self...

Step Six is very true haha. Used to have terrible confidence in myself , but then started pretending that I'm kinda cool.

Works like a charm.

I often wondered what authoritative figures were actually useful for. Threw me in the same cabin with a bunch of wenches and asked me out loud in front of a class why I would ever request a room change months before the actual trip. Elementary. Such good times.

Step three works always best for bullies. I can do a very murderous glare when I want, and scare everyone off. But I think I have to stop doing that murderous glare, because everybody starts to be hell far away from me, and with that I can't get any friends. But of course I can be nice to others too if I want. ^_^

As long as you do all the other steps, step 1 is not necessary... Sometimes it's difficult to find someone whose company you enjoy, in the meantime just be an assertive lone wolf. No one will mess with that murderous glare XD

This somewhat makes me really proud. I've realized these sort of things throughout these past few years of my adolescent phase. ;cough;Considering the fact that I'm such an introverted, antisocial hermit; I've always had this "confident" way of thinking.
Theses tips, per say, really do work. It all depends on how strong the individual will strive to gain this confidence and fond perspective of self-awareness.
Once I turned sixteen, I changed the physical parts of me that I wasn't entirely fond of. Style and appearance wise. Though during middle school, I got judged and abandoned by old friends who thought I was "trying too hard" to fit in, as to say. Though, looking back at it, who is to tell you how you should grow?
Changing something about you that you do not find pleasing is not a crime. It's more of a step to that exact confidence that you need. I became super antisocial since 8th grade, and I tend to be more sociable online. Though in person I freeze up. But I've taught myself to keep my chin up and walk with a sophisticated state of mind. Always smiling and trying hard to like.. not get aggravated by ignorant humans, lul. Sigh. It's such a hard thing to do. Though, I can't say I've ever been bullied or rather im just oblivious to those sort of things, tips like these work as to not beating yourself up. Negative thoughts will only bring negative events. So keeping a good reminder as to something like this, will truely help. Though, I think I sound silly. So I'm gonna stop now. Gawd. This turned out longer than expected. ;hides in hermit hole;

People are always reluctant to changes. ^^ I bet whatever friends that stayed with you regardless of your changes
are the ones worth keeping though.

XD I love that you have that mentality. The confident way of thinking. We do a lot of self-fulling prophecy. Might as well make it positive.

I agree with most of that. As a former bullied person. My best trick was developing a reputation. U kick enough ass (in self-defense only through my assorted martial arts) & people think u can't be fucked with & piss off out of fear. Let their brains run with what they've heard. Makes my life easier. :D

Step 1: "Touch me and I will rip your head off and use it as a cup to drink your blood" facial expression.
Step 2: Always silent unless you need to speak to someone.
Step 3: Almost destroy the next person that messes with you. Bonus points if you get the next person after that to run home when they pick a fight with you.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit

That's how it was for me from Junior High to now.

this could really help a friend of mine...

i poisoned this one guy at school and he shat his self in class.

destroy your enemies with massive confidence annihilation.

only when I was in high school did I resort to beating bullies up, after I told a teacher about it and he said... "what should I do about it, handle it yourself"

Thats the long way, you can also take the "easy" route and join the marine corps, non mess with a marine and they make you self-confident as hell or at least they will kick your ass so hard that you will always have that "I cant hurt that guy cuz his ma CO, but you dont seem to have any stripes or stars on you" ,:3 face.

My trick was play ignorant and never react to the verbal abuse. Because I never reacted as they expected me to I quickly became a boring target and they gave up
As for physical bullying... lets just say those who tried never did it twice (it involved 3 warnings, a mechanical pen and a leg) ^^;

Great! I know she has issues with just this kind of stuff and I bet this will cheer her up immensely.
Also, no problem, for some reason complimenting you never takes much effort. (I know, look at me go. If I was a guy, girls would hit me for my lame flattery)
A question, though. I recently got into anime, and I noticed that your style is remarkable similar to those of the anime. Did you learn off Japanese styles or something?
Curious,
